How to Register

Printer-friendly versionSend by email

Registration will begin Monday, October 7, 2013.

  • Rutgers Students
  • Visiting Students (as of 12/16, all visiting students must register in person at the registrar's office)

Please note:

Visiting Students: you must complete the necessary prerequisite work and are responsible for determining that you have done so before registering for a Rutgers winter course. Please talk with your academic advisor or dean to assure that you have the appropriate preparation, referencing the prerequisites listed on the Rutgers Winter Session website (winter.rutgers.edu). If you have questions or need additional information about a Rutgers course, you may contact the sponsoring academic department (use the search website search.rutgers.edu for departmental contact information).

Winter Session is NOT recommended for:

  • Rutgers first-year students or students with less than a 2.0 GPA. Such individuals must secure special permission from their deans/advisors before registering.
  • High school or younger students, due to the session's intensive format and course schedule conflicts with high school classes. However, in very exceptional circumstances, a gifted student who is being home-schooled may be considered for Winter Session. Please click here for application form, or contact the New Brunswick Office of Summer & Winter Sessions at wsru@docs.rutgers.edu for information.
  • Course overloads: A full-time academic load in Winter Session is a single course. Individuals who want to take more than one course in Winter Session must secure approval from their academic advisor or dean.
